Three tariffs, all set by North Yorkshire Council. Tariff 1 is the day rate. Tariff 2 is nights and Sundays. Tariff 3 is bank holidays. Here is exactly when each applies and what it means for your fare.
The three tariffs
Tariff 1 — Day rate
6am–10pm, Mon–Sat
The standard day rate. Applies for the majority of journeys during normal waking hours on weekdays and Saturdays.
Tariff 2 — Night rate
10pm–6am Mon–Sat · All day Sunday
The night rate. Applies from 10pm every weeknight and Saturday night, and all day Sunday. Approximately 50% higher than Tariff 1.
Tariff 3 — Bank holiday rate
Bank holidays (England & Wales)
The highest rate. Applies on all public bank holidays. Approximately 60% higher than Tariff 1. Relevant for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Easter, and May bank holidays.
